@01:38This is really something.
I'm truly in love with the backgrounds and the detail on the nightmare's scenery and the forest outside of the girl's window.
The story is very interesting as well. I like how you made the shadow appear outside of her window too.
Lovely. :D

My first ever short animated film.

This project was done during my first semester in my animation program. The assignment was to do a 30 second short animated film about anything we wanted. Initially, I thought about having someone falling would be something that could be pretty short and easy to animate...but boy was I wrong.

The film ended up being about 1 min 30 seconds long, including credits...and given the fact that I wanted to do a lot of dramatic and dynamic shots with flowing hair and cloth I ended up spending so much more time on this than I thought I would. And, being the perfectionist that I am when it comes to my art...I really lost a lot of sleep on this, and though I was frustrated and annoyed with it a lot of the time...I SERIOUSLY learned a lot...not just about my artistic and creative abilities but also about animation and filmmaking in general.

Overall, I think it was a great learning experience...and I think I successfully achieved what I sought to create...so I'm actually very proud to be able to call this my first animated short.

If there was anything that I'd like to change about this it would probably be the sound levels a bit and also maybe the timing of some of the shots...I was editing this about 6 hours before it was due (definitely not enough time to edit anything properly) and running on sleep that I had two days before (all-nighters before production deadlines are always interesting experiences T.T)...

Regardless, I like it...and I hope you guys do as well. Critique is always welcome.
